All Hallow's Eve

Look how cute they are!!! It's been a long time since we carved a pumpkin...Ivan and Nikki helped. Ivan salted and buttered the seeds before we put them in the oven. Nevermind that the only way he could cut the butter into small pieces was to bite them and spit them on the seeds. Nothing 375 degrees in the oven won't kill....

We've been to Las Vegas for three years in a row now. Two times for my birthday...Next time we go will be for Kassi's 21st birthday, 2010! See you then my beloved Venetian. :)

Last weekend we celebrated Anna's Dad's Birthday. 75!!! We had a great time. Stayed at the Comfort Inn. We enjoyed dinner and Karaoke at Daddy's. Walked on the beach at night with flashlights looking for little crabs and the next day had dinner at Mamacitas. They had Karaoke and a small dance floor which we were more than happy to make good use of. :))

Almost Fourty and Friday - Just Don't Mix!!

Friday night and all I can think about is getting in bed and going to sleep for about 10 hours. I have to wonder where all the stamina for staying up late and visiting with friends for hours went! Seriously, what happens? Maybe Noemi is right...maybe I just need to have some vitamin B...or at least I think it's B...maybe we should add Ginko Biloba to that....

Looking forward to next Saturdays' Poker 'Hodown... or showdown...whatever...there will be poker and ho's, that's all I meant...

Ike

There's no official evacuation at this time but we're watching and waiting. Hopefully, Ike will not hit this part of Texas...Not that a break from school wouldn't be nice, but not under those crazy circumstances. It's too bad we can't get snow days or something like that. The plans so far are Dallas with my brother or Meadow with my uncle. Who knows... We do know that the flooding will be worse than with Dolly and that was pretty bad as it was.

If we stay, we stay at None's again, but we'll need a hell of a lot more sandbags this time cuz we found out her place tends to flood! Mel and Ed will buckle down at Fort Wadsworth... Pretty scary, but if anyone can handle a disaster situation - it's Ed. You go, Ed!!! Survival mode is on!

First Day!

First day of school! So tired...the kids are pretty good overall. Have some cuties that will be fun to have in class all year.

Nikki had her first day back also. She's still trying to get over that sorry little Aaron... It's hard to see her so sad. Teenage drama can be so overwhelming.

I'm trying to take three classes this semester. Let me tell you people now. I'm gonna be draggin my ass through this semester. tired..grouchy..not a joy to be around for a while...Cuz ya'll know what a joy I normally am!

Anna's 43rd birthday...We ate lunch with her parents at the Lonestar in Harlingen. Then we went to the Wadworth's for LUMBRE! The highlight was Ed giving both Anna and Nikki a ride on the Harley...And you too Kassy!! All in all it was a good day. Anna found inner peace while riding precariously on a big hunk of metal going 65 miles an hour on the backroads of San Benito...Now she really wants to be a Hog Mama...I say - fine! Just get a good life insurance policy where it all goes to me. And I mean a FAT insurance policy! Then - yeah...ride baby, ride!!!

Summer Days Are Gone!!!

This is our last FREE weekend! :( We had a great time at the Frio River. I hope we can keep this lazy, laid back feeling for the next 10 months. But wish as I might, I know I'll be stressed one week into it. And yes, Dr. Infante my summer is officially over... I hope you're happy.

Oh and by the way - only we can call Little Jessli Jo special. I don't appreciate your comments about our little precious. I'd advise you both to steer clear of Jessli's mother for a while. She doesn't take too kindly to people talking smack about her dog! Beware...

Ok...So this is our little Jessli Jo Reagan. Isn't she the cutest? We think so. She just got a new haircut. Her body is shaved pretty close but Rod left her face full. She's our little lover...but... even though Anna refuses to admit it...we (I) think she's "special." And I don't mean exceptional.. I mean rides the short yellow bus - special... Maybe we're biased towards the first born. Maybe she just doesn't learn as quickly as Hockli Houston... but yeah..special...
